Me & Blogging
I posted my first post on Pasties & Petticoats in January 2012. It started as a hobby and today it’s my full time job. I have a little office in Helston (Cornwall) and work with hundreds of brilliant wedding professionals across Cornwall and Devon.
I recently won the 2017 wedding media category at the South West Wedding Awards, have been a speaker at the Cornwall Wed MeetUp, an expert for the thinkWED event and am the official host for twitter’s weekly #wedchat.
If you’d like to know more about the where, why and how of my journey to becoming a wedding blogger, you can read about it here in this post.
If you’d just like to know more about me aside from weddings and blogging, I love (in no particular order):
bell tent escapes | sunny days | crochet | my Romanian rescue dog Stanley | family
wine/gin/fizz | the festive season | the sea | stationery | animals | music
the smell of freshly cut grass | sofa days | lie-ins | coffee | cheese
I got married to The Husband on 07.07.07. We have two child beasts, a Portugese Water Dog we rescued from Romania called Stanley, a grumpy old man miniature schnauzer called Dennis, two cats – Brian and Elsie, as well as rabbits and guinea pigs.
We’re into ethical and happy food, and are just in the throes of setting up our own smallholding which will feature a huge veggie patch, fruit cage, chickens, ducks and a small selection of farm animals as well as somewhere to pitch the bell tent, light the fire and hang out!
I’m a lover not a hater. I’m open minded, believe in positivity and gratitude and meditation and all that jazz. I love love and just want the world to be happy and get along!
