Stunning clear roof marquee inspiration
Having had a marquee reception for my own wedding, it’s probably fair to say that I’m a little bit biased, but I do think that being able to pick a location that’s meaningful to you and transform it into your very own personal venue is pretty special.
I just love the beautiful clear roof marquees, which are something our fab Wedding Collective members Hatch Marquee Hire can help with, and they kindly sent us this lovely inspiration post.

It can be difficult to decide which style of marquee to choose as there are plenty of options out there. Over the past few years the clear roof marquees have really started to grow in popularity and with good reason, clear roofs can transform a beautiful marquee into something quite extraordinary.
So what’s different? The clear roofs allow the light to flood into your marquee bringing the outside closer. There are really worth considering particularly if you have a fantastic coast or country view, a beautiful building close by as these features become very much part of your day.
Clear roofs can be used to define different spaces within a marquee, such as a feature over a dancefloor – this means during the evening you can be dancing away under the stars! Or they can be used to create a bar/reception area giving you a different feel for different areas of the marquee.
However, if you really want to have it all, then go completely clear – it looks absolutely spectacular! It’s like having your very own glass house with the added advantage that you can build it in a location that suits you.
With such a lofty space the clear roof marquees lend themselves to having hanging decorations – paper lanterns, look really effective particularly if they are lit with small battery operated lights. Alternatively, for a more natural feel, hanging greenery, fairy lights, flowers, lanterns and baubles look amazing suspending over dining tables using poles, ladders or a purpose built frame.
By night the roof of the marquee can transform into a spectacular twinkly ceiling with plenty of fairy & festoon lights adding plenty of atmospheres and if you are surrounded by trees then add a theatrical feel to the space by up lighting them – once dark you get a whole new feel and the trees will look magnificent.
Clear roofs are a great feature adding a different dimension to a marquee layout and plenty of ‘wow’ factor too. If you think this would work for your wedding day, get in touch with Hatch Marquee Hire, we’ve got all the ideas to help you create a really special marquee.
