The historic Duke of Cornwall Hotel sets the scene for today’s post – a beautiful styled shoot featuring swirling frocks by the talented Christine Trewinnard, captured perfectly by photographer Toby Lowe.
Toby shares his inspiration for the shoot (and as always, the full list of supplier credits can be found with links at the foot of the post)…
” When I walked around the Duke of Cornwall, I was struck by the history and heritage of the building. There’s a feeling of grandeur throughout the hotel, from the entrance and staircase to the beautiful period features of the rooms. As a long-standing fan of 1950’s cinema, I had the idea that the Duke’s period charm would work perfectly as a backdrop for a vintage wedding photo shoot – a chance to recreate some of the style of those classic Audrey Hepburn films.
The shoot was set in the Duke’s Hayward Room, which has been recently refurbished and looks stunning. The room played a big part in the images I created. Without a doubt, the dress spinning shot taken here is my favourite from the day – it came out just how I imagined it – but I’m pleased with the whole shoot. I loved the chance to work in this fantastic building and to re-capture some of the timeless glamour of the classic Hollywood era. ”
